My terrible online shopping experience at glassesusa compels me to share a cautionary tale. We ordered glasses for our 12-year-old, but he had trouble seeing with them. Our doctor found the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect – a critical measurement glassesusa assumed instead of prompting us for it. This was profoundly frustrating because you can never reach a human at glassesusa to discuss such issues, and email interactions are too slow, causing the process to drag on. I felt like I was starting the conversation over each time. I felt compelled to leave a review and engage with customer service to rectify this mistake.
Customer: I'm calling about an order for my son's glasses. He can't see properly, and our doctor said the PD is incorrect. Your site never asked for it, and now we have unusable glasses. It's impossible to reach anyone! CS Rep: I apologize for the difficulty you've experienced and the issue with your son's glasses. I understand how frustrating it is when a critical measurement like PD is incorrect. Can I please get your order number so I can look into this for you? Customer: The order number is [ORDER NUMBER]. I've tried emailing, but responses take days, and I can't talk to a human! We need these glasses working. CS Rep: Thank you for that. I see the PD was indeed set to a default value. We can definitely get a new pair of lenses made with the correct PD. We will need you to send the original glasses back first for the exchange. Customer: So, he won't have any glasses while we wait for the replacement? This is exactly what I mean about the process dragging on!
